During the COVID-19 emergency we are using Televisits for high risk patients. Those with respiratory infections, immune deficiencies and the elderly.

Please note this is a billable service. Televisits are currently only covered by Carefirst/Blue-Cross with the announcement of a National Emergency we expect this to expand to include all commercial insurances, Medicaid and Medicare. Furthermore we have been told that we can conduct Televisits for patients in Virginia, Washington DC and other states. More details will be announced soon.

Please confirm with our front desk that you are web-enabled. For our patient portal and the Healow app you need a username and password (this will be sent to you once you are web-enabled). You need a high speed access for Televists. Click below to access our patient portal

Please make sure you read instructions below before you opt for televisit.


1. TELEVISIT USING SMART PHONE: (IPHONE OR ANDROID)


BOOK A TELEVISIT:


  1. Download the Healow app on your smart phone.
  2. Register yourself with the app and enter our unique ID code "CEDFBA" .
  3. Login to the Healow app.
  4. Call and schedule a Televisit with the front desk at least one day in advance.
  5. Make the co-payment and required deductible/co-insurance payment for the tele-visit (this will vary by insurance) with front desk or click at the  button below for online payment if known.
  6. The televisit is limited to 1 chief complaint per visit.
  7. Our staff will call you 30 to 60 minutes before your appointment and take note of your vitals and your 1 chief complaint which you want to discuss with the doctor during the televisit.






BEGIN TELEVISIT THROUGH HEALOW APP:

  1. “Arrive early” by logging in to your Healow app.
  2. Click “Join Televisit” in your appointment (or email reminder).
  3. Click “Proceed” to check your phone's internet speed and ability to support a Televisit. If your device does not have a webcam, you will need to attach one.
  4. Click “Start Televisit” to enter the virtual waiting room.
  5. Your physician will begin the face-to-face Televisit, and disconnect when the visit ends.​
  6. Televisit will be limited to 15 min for follow up visits.






2. TELEVISIT USING COMPUTER:


BOOK A TELEVISIT:




  1. After you are web enabled log into the Patient Portal 
  2. Call to schedule a Televisit at least one day before the Televist. 
  3. Make a co-payment and required deductible/coninsurance payment for the tele-visit (this will vary with insurance) with front desk or click at the  button below for online payment if amount is known.
  4. The televisit is limited to 1 chief complaint per visit.
  5. Our staff will call you 30 to 60 minutes before your Televisit and take note of your vitals and your 1 chief complaint which you want to discuss with the doctor during the televisit.

  5. Your physician will begin the face-to-face TeleVisit, and disconnect when the visit ends.​
  6. Televisit will be limited to 15 min for follow up visits.
