Dr Mangat is certified by the American Board of Urgent Care Medicine and is a Member of the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine. He is board eligible in Internal Medicine and Board qualified in Ophthalmology.
He graduated from England's prestigious Epsom College (High School) with direct admission to the Medical School of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland , he spent time at Johns Hopkins and was the bicentennial student union president.
He trained at the University Teaching Hospitals of Trinity College Dublin,London and and Oxford Universities in Family Practice and Ophthalmology before completing an Internal Medicine Residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center Philadelphia and Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida. He was an Attending Physician in the ER in the VA Medical Center in Washington DC an affiliate Teaching Hospital of Georgetown, George Washington and Howard Universities.
Doctor Mangat is active with his Church, writing the lead prayer for the DC interfaith convention on Martin Luther King Day 2006. He is the Medical Director of Jebra Technologies holding two patents and a number of publications. He enjoys mentoring bright young minds, and spoke at the Asian Business conference in Rockville 2006 and presented to George Mason University's Centenary Club. He has promotes voter registration amongst Montgomery County's minorities.In addition to English he is fluent in French, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu with a working knowledge of Spanish.
Dr Mangat interests include complex perplexing medical cases, Diabetes and complicated retinal problems as well as sleep disorders. He has ongoing research with the US Military, commercializing his medical inventions.He is the Admission's Ambassador to The Royal College Surgeons in Ireland Medical School. Dr Mangat has Privileges at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
